Morrissey: Everyday Is Like Sunday

When depression hits hard this song comes to mind since the days always feel the same whenever we're down. But this Morrissey song can also bring you up thanks to its vigorous sound, expressive and with relatable lyrics. He's angel singing such a beautiful song. Tim Broad's melancholic clip isn't much of one that is deserving of such single, I would think of something more grey and sad to present instead of the lonely rebel girl in the coastal town. Gets a praise from me and its worth viewing because the video is there to sell a great song and it's very satisfying.

"Everyday is Like Sunday" and everyday is silent and grey...though not much. Broad makes a colorful clip where the girl walks by many different places, with a tired and bored expression, but keeping her mood and spirits up whenever she sees a Smiths video on TV, or walking on a store where "Viva Hate" Morrissey's first solo album being sold with a huge crowd waiting in line to buy it. And there are times when she gets in conflict with two ladies who left a fur coat hanging on a chair ("Meat is Murder" reference); but also has a good time when a girl gives her a ride in her car. Morrissey is on the soundtrack of there and also when she gets home.

There isn't much of a story or a drama play so we can identify with that young fan character; however we can feel as if without Moz's voice and his sound our days are missing something. That's the importance I feel with him and The Smiths and this idea is a great to sell the music. Pure magic. 8/10
