The $50m Art Swindle

The $50m Art Swindle has apparently aired only on television, so I was not expecting much. In fact, it is a well-made feature-length documentary about the riveting life story of Michael Cohen, a French man who went from selling encyclopedias door-to-door to becoming a high-level fine art trader with a stock market addiction. Definitely worthwhile for anyone interested in art fraud or the perils of Wall Street--or even gambling more generally. The film is good enough to have been released in theaters, although it will likely appeal only to a niche audience. Cohen´s life is certainly eventful enough to fill a decent narrative screenplay--except that it is not fictional!
