I am actually interested in the show and stories but it is impossible to watch and a waste of time because you cannot hear what the people are saying because of the OVERLY ridiculous music and sound effects!! I also agree with the other review that switching between the stories makes it all more confusing. They either need to make some much need changes or the Travel Channel needs to drop the show.
I decided to watch ep. 2 because I'm familiar with the Kent Ohio story. I was genuinely shocked at the lack of important things that happened in Lindsey's story that she wasn't able to speak about or the fact this show didn't play out the scenes more terrifying. I was not at all scared by either story. I recommend paranormal witness. They did an episode (nightmare on chestnut street) on Lindsey's story and that episode was horrifying.
This show felt like a podcast more than anything. I don't see the point of it being a show if you're not going to have scary scenes to tell the story visually..

I like the fact the stories are from real people. What I don't like is the filming in between the interviews. It's annoying to see bits and pieces of what it was like for these people. At least play it out better so we can get a better sense of what they went through. Plus, the switching of the stories is a pain to keep up with.
Whoever decided that switching back and forth between stories was a good way to do the show needs to be fired. It's annoying and incredibly stupid. It makes no sense at all. I probably won't watch anymore episodes because of this asinine decision. It would be an interesting show if not for this format. Dumb dumb!!
I should also add that they should have been more clear on the story from the second (?) episode. Did the little girl live? The mother rushed in and found her body cold and I think she used the word 'was' when referring to the little girl but I'm not sure. They were not really clear.

Did the little girl survive from episode 2???? The Maddox lady. It was unclear and I needs ta know!
Also, yeah the switching between stories is odd and clunky but the stories are interesting and that's the only reason I will continue to watch.

- TriviaRecurring lines abound among the Travel Channel similar, reenacted paranormal/horror shows. One of them is "all the hairs in the back of my neck stood up" (but no human has a hairy back of neck, so no one could possibly have ever felt that!) and "it was pure evil". John Bucklin of Taos New Mexico says that of the Skinwalker in his story, as does Lori Settle of the girl ghost with no eyes, in hers.
