This movie was very interesting about the struggles of possible mental health, a break up, a love story, and finding who you really are and I think that Finn Whitrock, who I had never heard of was just amazing in this movie. Damon Wayans Junior played an incredible part as his friend Doug and he was pretty Likable. The story is very odd. Very different yet might seem unbelievable at parts. But when you get to the end, you will understand. The girl that played Vienna played a very interesting part and I thought she was a great actress in this part, but Finn really stood as Bart. OK, so he's not bad on the eyes either.
In fact it isn't really a comedy, more of a romantic movie with some humor sprinkled in. I like movies that use a unique approach and this one does. It isn't a great movie but it is entertaining enough.
My wife and I watched it at home on DVD from our public library. At the 27 minute mark she said spontaneously "This isn't a very good movie." Part of that was motivated by the filthy language the Wayans character used, and some of it in front of the small child. Poor script writing I suppose.
Then something dramatic happened about the 32 minute mark, something that changed the whole complexion of the man-woman relationship. Now we understood why she seems so vague and so unusual and why she carried thousands of dollars of cash in her purse.
Worth a look for anyone who an enjoy a movie that veers off into an unexpected direction.

A rom-com with a twist is how most people have described it. The two leads definitely make this movie with A plus chemistry. At times the writing is laugh out loud funny and sometimes it's a little dull. There are also a few moments that touch the heartstrings. I believe the screenwriter was influenced by the novel "Bid Time Return" which was the novel that "Somewhere in Time" was based on. I hope that doesn't give too much away. Overall it was an enjoyable movie experience. Like I said before Finn Wittrock and Zoe Chao are two underrated actors that really make this work. The ending however doesn't really make sense when you think about it, but still worth the watch.
A really cute, light, romantic and humorous, but a feel good movie that is more than *just a typical romcom*. This romcom makes you fall in love with each character for who they are, along with their flaws, and that is good. However you're always sort of wondering if it's really good to believe in these characters. This is one about a true love, yes, and it takes you along in their perfect little adventure of romance, yes, but it leaves you with the feeling of "do I believe this or do I not?" You don't get confirmation until the end... and then the end again. Watch it and you'll see, especially if you like romantic comedies with a bit of a twist.
You know those movies that you can't stop talking about to your friends and if they watch it, it's glorious, and those who haven't seen it can't relate and are sick of hearing about it?
Thats how much I enjoyed the art direction, twists, and how you are 'involved' in wondering 'how it's going to happen', or maybe it isn't π, and the scales of wonder you slide through.
It's a feel good, relatable love story that appeals to our sense of wonder and it hits all the bases.
