Jim Krut and Gary Ugarek in Deadlands 2: Trapped (2008)

FAQ

Deadlands 2: Trapped

No, Deadlands 2: trapped is an IN NAME ONLY SEQUEL and does not require the viewer to have seen the first film. Much like George Romero's Living Dead films are really separate entities from each other. The only common connection would be zombies.

Deadlands 2 original title, was simply "Trapped" before the Deadlands 2 title was added in the Spring of 2008. The film is also know as Deadlands: Trapped, and by its original scripted titled "The Escape"

Yes, The film originated as a short subject horror story for the Zombthology (2008) project, however, during filming writer/director Gary Ugarek pitched the idea to producers to expand the film into a feature length version that could be released separately. 2 versions of the film actually exist, a 26 minute short version that was intended to be the first film in Zombthology and an approximately 90 minute extended Director's Cut. However, the producers of Zombthology have agreed with director Gary Ugarek that the film could be released as a feature only, but would still make an appearance in Zombthology as a 4 minute trailer to meet the original obligations.

UPDATE: Deadlands 2: Trapped will be solely release as a feature film. The 4 minute teaser will not be present in the future release of Zombthology, instead Zombthology will present the production. (ZOMBTHOLOGY presents a WETNWILDRADIO Films production of a Gary Ugarek film "DEADLANDS 2: TRAPPED")
