Rebel agents Jan Ors and Kyle Katarn have been called upon to rescue the prisoner of war Colonel Dalvin Ledok from the Imperial prison planet of Prempta IV. But it will be no easy task, and they are working against the clock, as the colonel is sentenced to immediate termination. Meanwhile, Grand Moff Teivel receives news regarding the construction of his superweapons that may threaten their completion..

Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors have successfully freed the prisoner of war, Colonel Dalvin Ledok, from his prison cell, but now they must use all there wits to escape the prison planet, itself. Meanwhile, Grand Moff Teivel receives a visit from Lord Jerec, one of the Emperor's Dark Jedi and Inquisitor. And the motives behind Jerec's visit may pose as a new and difficult challenge to Teivel's mutiny. Special guest appearance by Allen Hamilton, who, after 20 years, reprises his role as Lord Jerec from the official LucasBooks/High Bridge Audio dramatizations of William C. Dietz' "Star Wars: Dark Forces" Trilogy.

Grand Moff Teivel receives a distress call from the excavation site on Apophis and sends his second-in-command, Commander Hawk, to investigate. Meanwhile, the Rebel Alliance prepares to initiate their mission to destroy Teivel's superweapons. But this already dangerous mission may turn out to be far more perilous than any of them could have ever imagined.
