Caviche and Chelina, are desperate with their unwanted pregnancy and her father's threats. In order to fund an abortion, they become kamikaze gasoline smugglers in the Caravan of Death, ignoring the dangers that the desert has for them.

In a deserted land, Chelina and Caviche characters face a difficult decision when, fearing Chelina's violent father, they decide to interrupt an unexpected pregnancy. To fund the abortion they become gasoline smugglers and embark on a challenging journey. Their love will be tested as they fight to find a way out.—Sebastian Parra Romeros

In a bleak desert town, a young couple named Caviche and Chelina find themselves in a forbidden love.

Chelina becomes pregnant but is unsure who the father is, doubting between Caviche and her abusive father.

Chelina decides to have an abortion, and Caviche, unaware of her true reason, supports her without a choice.

Caviche realizes he has no money because his mother stole his savings. Seeking help, his best friend El Bojote suggests two options to make quick cash: becoming a hitman or a kamikaze gasoline smuggler.

Caviche competes in the "Candelita del diablo," a dangerous car endurance competition where the winner has a chance to enter the world of gasoline smuggling. After winning, Caviche meets Callo-Callo, who introduces him to the business. To gain entry, Caviche must burn down a rival gas station as a favor. Completing the task, Caviche meets the mechanic Altamar, who helps him modify his old Renault 12 into a kamikaze-ready car.

Tragically, Caviche's best friend and co-pilot, El Bojote, dies while attempting to smuggle gasoline with his uncle. Chelina steps up to take his place.

El Negro Oñate catches Chelina trying to enter the house late at night and punishes her by locking her up on a farm outside the town as a consequence for running away.

After initially missing Chelina for the smuggling trip, Caviche relentlessly pursues Negro Oñate until he discovers where Chelina is being held captive and rescues her.

The couple embarks on a perilous journey through a treacherous route, facing highway ambushes and various obstacles. Stranded in the scorching desert, plagued by the fear of dying, they confess their darkest secrets. Chelina reveals that she was raped by her father and isn't certain if the child she carries is Caviche's. In return, Caviche confesses that he had to kill her father to save her.

At a gasoline buyer's location, Caviche sells the gasoline at a low price despite Chelina's objections. Annoyed, Chelina complains, leading to a fierce fight between them.

Upon reaching the sea, Caviche asks Chelina if she still wants to proceed with the abortion.
