Good script. Johnny is a decent/good actor. He carries the movie as far as it can go with Steven also in the film. The movie is good, until Segal comes onscreen. And after he disappears, it gets good again. They could probably cut the Segal scenes and it would be a good watch. Even DMX (RIP) is decent.
I laugh evert time Segal is onscreen, as his acting in this film is bad. Lets face it; his acting has been bad for awhile now.

Poor filming, poor directing, poor acting, poor fight choreography, poor script, poor continuity, poor character development, poor concept. I used to be a Seagal fan, but I am finally realizing he has nothing left in the tank. Was hoping for at least a watchable and somewhat entertaining film. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met in either case.
Absolutely awful, Steven segal needs to stop making movies so idiots like me cant watch them.
Wow this was bad. I'm surprised that Seagal still bothers to put out useless crap like this (although I'm not even sure of that). I honestly don't know what the point of this film is. All Seagal does is sit in poorly lit rooms (with sunglasses) and whisper incomprehensively whilst smoking fat cigars, oh and he puts on a weird Southern accent too. His total screentime whilst standing up adds up to less than a minute, including a 15 second fight scene and a hilariously bad shooting scene. I don't know if he's trying to hide his obvious weight gain, lacking the energy to stand or just being lazy, but at this point Seagal isn't even 'bad in a funny way' to watch. At least Kill Switch was genuinly hilarious to watch.
Everything else about this film is just generic and forgettable, there is nothing here you haven't seen before in better movies.

First, Steven Seagal has gotten fat. He does not look healthy--much less fit. This movie is dark...in more ways than one. Not only is it done in gritty inner-city areas but its subject and characters are almost all negative creatures of darkness. Seagal appears in only one fight scene--if you can call it that. He whispers, which is hard to hear and irritating. He has this vague Southern accent, which seems put-on. Worse still, he isn't the hero. I've been a fan of Seagal for many years, and have a collection of perhaps all of his videos. This one may well be the last.
