    "What have you done?"

An epic mid-season finale with continued multi-pronged conflict between our heroes and the denizens of the Upside Down. Some intriguing answers are revealed, alongside the posing of fresh and perplexing questions, as the various threads knit together.

Fabulous storytelling with things coming to a head without feeling contrived or rushed, this is shaping up to be the best season yet. Wonderful performances too numerous to detail all blend together to make this arguably the best episode of Stranger Things.

The wait for the final two episodes already feels too long!

Can I rate this an "Eleven"?

Three years. Three freaking years of not knowing why this was taking so long to get here. Did they not have a clue what to do? Did they run out of good ideas?

I thought this season was going to be the beginning of the end. Honestly, I contemplated even watching it.

All I can say... Stranger Things S4E7 is one of the greatest episodes of any tv series... ever.

    You know that tingling feeling?

You know that rare tingling feeling you get when something you hear or watch becomes a part of you emotionally?

Well this season provided plenty of that and then turned it up to 011 in this last episode! .

    S1 Brilliantness

I never thought that s4 would simply top the masterpiece s1 is. It's just so well written and the villain origin reveal was perfect actually and well done. Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink is the top performers of the entire show and Winona Ryder too but she wasn't given enough to do this season.

    Honorable Mention

I am baffled as to the fact I have not been able to find one mention of the amazing soundtrack choice made during Vecna's monologue. When Vecna speaks of the nature of humans and the imbalance they create with nature, some brilliant mind decided to play the ending song from the 1982 film Koyaanisqatsi directed by Godfrey Reggio composed by Phillip Glass.

Ko.yaa.nis.qatsi (from the Hopi language), n. 1. Crazy life. 2. Life in turmoil. 3. Life disintegrating. 4. Life out of balance. 5. A state of life that calls for another way of living.

This is the entire focus of the experimental movie mentioned above and the poignancy of this peaks in the ending scene of the rocket Saturn V burning and exploding during launch while the theme (which plays during Vecna's monologue) plays.

This will probably only be caught by SO FEW people (As proof I have yet to find ANY mention of it except for one comment on the scene in question on Youtube) that including made it even more poignant. It hit me so hard when I recognized it in the scene, it sent chills down my back.

Whoever made that decision, thank you for that experience. You deserve to see this mentioned here.

    • Quotes

One: Like you, I didn't fit in with the other children. Something was wrong with me. All the teachers and the doctors said I was... "Broken," they said. My parents thought a change of scenery, a fresh start in Hawkins, might just cure me. It was absurd. As if the world would be any different here. But then... to my surprise, our new home provided a discovery. And a new found sense of purpose. I found a nest of black widows living inside a vent. Most people fear spiders. They detest them. And yet, I found them endlessly fascinating. More than that, I found a great comfort in them. A kinship. Like me, they are solitary creatures. And deeply misunderstood. They are gods of our world. The most important of all predators. They immobilize and feed on the weak, bringing balance and order to an unstable ecosystem. But the human world was disrupting this harmony. You see, humans are a unique type of pest, multiplying and poisoning our world, all while enforcing a structure of their own. A deeply unnatural structure. Where others saw order, I saw a straitjacket. A cruel, oppressive world dictated by made-up rules. Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades. Each life a faded, lesser copy of the one before. Wake up, eat, work, sleep, reproduce, and die! Everyone is just waiting. Waiting for it all to be over. All while performing in a silly, terrible play, day after day. I could not do that. I could not close off my mind and join in the madness. I could not pretend. And I realized I didn't have to. I could make my own rules. I could restore balance to a broken world. A predator... but for good.
