There are lots of new shows coming on cartoon network now, and chop socky chooks is one. The shows about 3 kung fu fighting chickens (Chuckie Chan,Chick P,KO Joe) who are defending the citizens of Wasabi World (a city sized shopping mall) from the evil Dr.Wasabi.Chop Socky Chooks is not the greatest show in the world, but in my opinion its better than some of the other new shows on cartoon network. Also if you don't know, Chop Socky Chooks is also on Teletoon in Canada. So if you haven't seen this show yet and think its going to be bad, please give Chop Socky Chooks a try. You might be surprised, and don't listen to those complaints about it being really violent, its not.
Don't get me wrong, in execution, Chop Socky Chooks is absolutely terrible! The writing is poorly executed, the characters are uninteresting, the designs of the chickens look conceptually pathetic, the setting is just downright insane, the action is lazy, a lot of the jokes are not even funny, and the show itself is so boring!
That being said, it's far from the worst thing Aardman has ever made. That already goes to Planet Sketch. To be honest, Chop Socky Chooks had potential to be a really good show! Admittedly, outside of the chickens, the art is highly creative and imaginative, the animation is surprisingly decent, the voice acting is impressive, and it had an honesty good concept!
I just wish it had better execution; we could've had strong character development and story arcs galore. Cartoon Network and Teletoon collaborating on a Decode/Aardman collab honestly sounds like a good idea, but in execution, it's terrible! It's not the worst show I've ever seen, but it's still pathetic. Still, Planet Sketch is already worse.

Many people really seem to dislike this show, but I really don't get it. Yes, the animation can be horror material sometimes, and I remember being terrified as a kid by the medusa-like villain, but man, i was watching this show like a zombie every night! Love the characters, love the villain and his big stupid sidekick, and i'm stunned that this has never reached cult status. If i were to accurately rate this show, it would probably be a 6/10, but it deserves a 10 for all the memories it left me and the sleepless night watching it as a kid. Crazy show, deserves a watch. And the intro song is a banger.
I just love Chick P (as well as my childhood friend, Avery Weinstein's favorite character), K.O. Joe and Chuckie Chan also sometimes i'm tired of those villians such as Doctor Wasabi, Bubba and Ninja Chimps a little and sometimes because they are the badass and the meanest bad guys on earth. But Avery Weinstein is sure likes that show. Violet Beauregarde, Rapido, Bruce Louis, Abdullah Bdullah and various character on earth does lot of kung fu stuff in the various shows and films like you too! Since i was 17 I spend time watching the ending of Ratz who had the last episode and the series finale called "No Panic on Board, A RATZ Ending" and now 18-19 years old, I saw the premiere Chop Socky Chooks on Cartoon Network and Teletoon because it's an awesome and addicting show cuz they did some martial arts like me and my various characters from all around the world. Thanks to Aardman and Teletoon for the show.
This show brings up lots of nostalgia, but in a bad sense. It used to play every night after midnight episode after episode after episode. I can still hear the stupid aaaah in my head.
