Originating in the UK - this is reality TV at it finest {and towers over the likes of, e.g., MAFS). Old Peeps Home for 4 yo's is absolutely wonderful for many reasons, one being that it's presented authentically, so we see true, captivating human interactions. Let's hope it never becomes contrived and over-produced because it's perfect as it is - beautiful, adorable, hilarious, heart-warming and life-transforming! Something similar should be in school curriculums, from early learning onward - to open people's minds (and hearts), from an early age to being more understanding, thoughtful, kind, empathetic humans. It'd also help dismantle the culture of ageism, which currently exists, where 'oldies' are largely disrespected and dismissed rather than respected and honoured for their wealth of knowledge, insight, expertise, (probably heaps of life hacks!), etc., and included as an essential, powerful part of society. SO happy Season 2 is in Australia Tue 6 Apr 2021. Also, thanks to all who have brought this genius show to our screens, & shots of pure joy to our pandemic-weary hearts. Heres' to a hundred more seasons!

This is such a raw and heart-warming program showing real vulnerability. Each episode makes me cry unashamedly. 1.6 million Australians over 65 live alone. This stat blew me away. The loneliness and isolation people feel living alone is heart breaking.
To see the growth and happiness older people and "little people" experience together is just amazing. Why can't we adopt this model everywhere? Wonderful for the children and older people alike.

As a 29 year old male I would not normally watch something like this on my own but got into it as my partner was watching it and oh boy! Brought quite a couple of tears to my eye. Amazing to see how compasionate and caring humans can actually be, easy to forget as we are constantly flooded with negative news stories. Hope they can implement this model across the country!
It is obvious from 10m in the first episode that this 'experiment' was a resounding sucess. The fact that 4 year olds are able to motivate older people so easily, is proof positive that this should be brought to more nursiung homes. Animal therapy and this type of 'child therapy' are clearly effective, especially if you have no one in your life like the residents of this show. Very heartwarming.
This social experiment must be replicated across the world , i felt a lot of improvement in myself as the show progressed , it had positive impact on my mood and the way i would iteract in the moment. Its the best show .
