Compare this documentary to anything made in America.

What this tells me is that Canadians are really boring and unemotional. The episodes drag on and on and there are only four of them! Shouldn't someone be sad or dramatic or at least show a tiny bit of emotion. It's all droning robotic talking. Christ, guys, get some adrenaline in you.

The Murder of the St John Police reputation The Mystery of who wrote this script. Was it Dennis Oland? The Shame of all of us who kept watching after the first episode. The. True Crime of big big money in a small town can buy the outcome desired. The True Victim, Dennis Oland who won't get credit for his flawless acting debut.

Binged this on CBCs GEM. Definitely a very Canadian series but as a true crime lover who knew nothing of this case, I was riveted.

Please explain why you bother to have scripts written for all people involved, including guests and hosts, when U cover-up their words w/ loud drumming, music, thumps, bangs, whooshes, thunder, etc. It's very disconcerting for the listener. Since I tape all my TV viewing, it's necessary, so often, to rewind and replay what someone has just said, to try to pick out their words over all the racket that is going on louder than the voices throughout the WHOLE show. This stuff is obviously dubbed in OVER the words. Isn't there anyone who has a say over which is loudest - the noise or the voices?? This never used to be a problem for listeners, but now it seems to be on every TV show. Whatever happened????

I was surprised to see CBC was involved in the production of this documentary. It was very biased and seemed as though it was produced by the accused.
