Superman & Lois' pilot is eyeing to begin filming in March 2020 in Vancouver. It began filming October 19, 2020 after Covid 19 delay.
It sure seems that those are their boys. Apart from the whole ''feeding from the sun energy" nothing suggest their biology/anatomy might be different. Everything seems to be just in the right place ... In movies not all aliens are strange looking, some are more attractive than humans.
They are high school students, Clark even mentions that they're 14 years old.
