River of No Return

Can't believe that the discovery Channel would air that one of the horses gets beat with a hammer when it's getting new shoes put on. I will not ever watch this channel or any other channels promoted by this. I am disgusted and will be reporting this to the ASPCA!

I'm usually not one for backcountry shows. However, I stumbled across River of No Return and have been pleasantly surprised. The Salmon River wilderness contains a rugged beauty that the series captures perfectly. Furthermore the character stories are interesting and the characters are diverse. I especially enjoyed watching homesteader Aubrey Barton at Indian Creek Ranch. She's a badass young lady thriving in the wilderness! Awesome show

I love this show. From the scenic landscapes, to the rapids only accessible by jet boat, to the ways that the few that live on the Frank Church have to do things it's just an awesome show. The only way to get mail is by bush plane, there are no mail boxes, hard for anyone these days to even fathom but it's truly a great show. I watched every episode and I hope that Discovery Channel will bring it back for a season 2.

This FANTASTIC docu is by far the BEST!! Perfect for everyone and a terrific family show! Beats the pants of 'Alaska Last Frontier' (and so far NO yodeling) a HUGE PLUS in my book. Try it you will LOVE IT!! Thanks for the TERRIFIC show!!

They should made the show revolve more around Ron Ens, he is BY FAR the most interesting character. All other participants and situations definitive have a story to show and tell. For instance, the boating scenes are very cool, and struggles with electricity and simply crossing a river are almost humbling to realise.

But some characters just arent as interesting as others and sometimes get repetitive. I found myself checking out on scenes because of it. Especially the interviews with the young woman got progressively boring per episode.

They couldve told each story and featured every participant just the same, but divide the screentime better towards the really interesting characters.
