Glorious History

This Star Trek talk show is one-of-a-kind, and I'm sorry to hear that Mark Altman is leaving it after the 2023 season. Inglorious Treksperts is not a typical fan-based forum. Rather, it is a fascinating (pun intended) examination of the.famed sci-fi franchise from an insiders' perspective which includes interviews, trivia, really fun exercises, and other content. In my opinion, it is a must for all fans of science fiction.

For an idealistic 11-year old who enthusiastically watched The Original Series (1966-1969) live during the tumultuous 60s, the hosts of the show (Mark,Daren,Ashley) are so relatable to me. Gene Roddenberry's vision of the future was groundbreaking because it presented a truly glorious history for humankind's social evolution while casting-off the cliché and often goofy.themes which typified previous sci-fi television and film. It is apparent that the hosts were as profoundly impacted by Star Trek as I was. Because we share this feeling with millions of others, there is no doubt that Star Trek triggered a lasting cultural phenomenon. (We must always) Remember...

My only memorabilia I still have is a first printing of the STAR TREK STAR FLEET TECHNICAL MANUAL.© 1975 by Franz Joseph Designs published by Ballantine Books (with cooperation from Paramount Television). I'm going to reread it now! Long live, and prosper.
