Kyle Cease: Weirder. Blacker. Dimpler.

This guy is just amazing, he blew me off my mind. if you like comedians like lewis black, or Dane cook, you probably don't have a sense of humor. but if you lime comedians like Demetri Martin, Jim Gaffigan, Jim Carrey, you are going to love this.

this guy inspired me to become the stand up comedian i am today, i go to the improv every week and do 5-34 minutes of stand up.

bottom line, you should watch this if you want to laugh hard. you should also check out other material from kyle cease such as 10 things i hate about you, and Not another teen movie.

I honestly don't know how this guy can hold an audience, I have just suffered half of Weirder. Blacker. Dimpler. and I did not laugh once. Where is the humour? Kyle Cease just acts like a bumbling fool.

I've seen this type of confused idiot act being performed on the live floor show once (BBC Scotland) and it was done very, very well. Mr Cease just doesn't seem get it at all though.

I am actually very surprised by my own opinion here as I will happily watch a lot of amateurish, low budget drivel and I do find myself quite easily entertained; even at the incompetence of others.

On the other hand, he is a likable character. Perhaps better suited to slapstick movies and the likes? I feel that the he is in desperate need of material and direction.

For the other reviewer to compare this with Demetri Martin, Jim Gaffigan or Jim Carrey is just insanity.

Kyle Cease began stand-up comedy with shows including "One Dimple," which this special borrowed from lightly. One of the nice things about Cease's style of comedy is that he can borrow from a previous show and still make it completely original with his unique creativity. He went on, after filming this, to become a motivational speaker rather than a comedian. Kudos to him for that decision; I'm sure he's making supportive, inspirational moves for the audiences. This is a one-of-a-kind special which boasts the surreal, sublime, abstract, land-on-your-face deadpan, and Jim Carrey-esque silliness and physical comedy bits, all in one package. The fact is, you'll never see somebody deliver bits like these with as much positive and refreshing enthusiasm for the rest of your life.
