In the hospital, when Susan is stabbing the zombie, Eddie can be seen standing completely up, but in the next scene, he's back down on the floor again, trying to get up.
The sun is comprised almost entirely of hydrogen and helium, so there is no way solar "debris" could crash into Earth.
