It's not anywhere near a 10, few movies are. Why rank this in the same league as Shawshank or Godfather? Maybe you mean 10 for a low budget animation, even then it's not close.
As for the movie, it was fine and will keep the younger kids (ages 3 to 12) entertained with fancy colors, fun voices, and good songs. The animation is poor compared to what a big studio would spend millions on. But no one expects that, I hope. 4/10.

Only saw part of it. Turned on the TV about 1/4 of the way into the movie. It's not the best, but it's far from bad. If you have something important to do, then do that, but otherwise it's not a waste of time to watch it. If you're one of those people that get upset if people take liberties with some source material, then you might not like it.
The message about defeating large obstacles if you believe in yourself, have courage, and work together is good. If anyone wants to be salty about that, well, I just don't know what to say. I guess "you can't please everyone" is true in this instance. Again, it's primarily aimed at kids. If you're an adult and want to sit around with other adults and watch it, you may not like it. Watch it alone if you have some time to pass and take it for what it is, or watch it with your kids, and you'll be fine.

My kids love it. As for me a most funniest is a King of Lilliputians. Great respect for the actor who did this character.
Boring and flat story line.
Poor animation.
May be interesting for kids under 6-7, older will not watch this till the end.

I took my daughter to watch it at a Mexican child-oriented theater.
My daughter and I were engaged and shared a good load of laughs.
The music is great!
The topics of friendship, courage and self-respect are there with a slight tone and digestible content that addresses the younger audience. Even though the theater has a fun playground, my little one went back to the screen and even danced to the Irish-Celtic songs.
I like the characters, design and overall look.
Pace and adult-themes could have been put aside a bit, hence my personal rating. Some gender and sensual jokes may be a bit too much, especially the antagonist who is clearly gender ambiguous.
At this moment of history, values are important and the movies takes a bit too much to get to the point of placing them for children to imitate.
