First let me say I love the basic plot line. The concept of The Fury is good stuff, and the action scenes are great. Now that's out of the way, everything else about this show is hackneyed, all the way from the angry girl lead character who somehow not only becomes a combat genius in weeks, to the fact that she owns no clothing that is not a crop top. It's not uncommon in action TV/films for there to be a few plot holes, especially French productions, but this thing is ridiculous. There is a 'jump the shark' moment 4 times in every episode. I wish someone with vision could do this story without selling out to marketing stereotypes.
So a woman whos never been in a fight suddenly turns into a combination of Jack Reacher and Jason Bourne 5 months after being in a prison - a place where she got beat up daily no less?
The action scenes are well-choreographed no doubt but the plot has more holes than pathways making it seem just ridiculous.
The fault here lies with the writers and the lead lyna - tho that may be on the director and not the actress. Either way, the action team gets props but the writers let the show down. Guess they missed out a few pages in between when they handed the script to the director.
Tv shows are fun when larger than life but not when they are just plain ridiculous.

I am sorry folks, but I could not make it with this series. No, I could not, because it is totally a big, huge, juicy non sense. First Marina Fois in such a crap is like if we had seen Louis De Funès in a western.... The story and production design remind me Luc Besson's Europacorp craps from the nineties and 2000's: such as TAXI, BANLIEUE 13, YAMAKASI.... I tried two episodes but, it was too hard for me to see such series where women lead the underworld. As also MAFIOSA was, but the latest was a real tough, gritty and poignant TV show. Not like this one, one of the biggest nonsense of TV industry.
I enjoyed this despite it being very frustrating at times. The basic premise is good and the main storyline is also very good. However, it is let down by too many plot holes and some of the acting is very amateurish. Nevertheless if you approach this in the same way as you would something like Die Hard or anything with the likes of Jason Statham or Jean Claude Van Damme then you will get enjoyment from it.
Like most action movies the action sequences in this become ever more preposterous to the point where I started wondering whether it was a parody. Entertaining but in a trashy way. You know the drill, the enemies have all the firepower of a small army but can't hit anything remotely close to a target while the protagonists can bring down said army with a small handgun and only two bullets.

That sums it up. It's got hype action. A hero's journey. Underworld lore. Crime Families. Hippity Hop style. And it's French. Like the creator went to the Luc Besson school of storytelling. All style, some story, over-the-top amped fun.
I wouldn't downgrade it 'Fast and Furious' style, but there is definite camp. Maybe if this show does gets multiple seasons, they will end up stealing tanks to take up to space.
It's not that real, grime spot that sells tasty cheese by the slice. It's not dressed up like it's a sit-down with courses. It's Pizza Hut and we're hungry. Thank you, may I have another?
