I just don't have any words to express. A must watch! It was not only a movie but an experience. Each and every scene were so perfectly presented by the director, actors and even by each and everyone. I must admire Ujaan Ganguly along with Churni Ganguly, Ambarish and even their co actors too. Casting was too good. The story itself is a very strong point for this movie but I must say that this type of strong script and screenplay this story is just the cherry on the cake. I was a fan of both Ujaan and Kaushik Ganguly and obviously was exited to watch Lokkhi chhele but now after watching Lokkhi chhele, from today I will be waiting to see them working together again. Thank you Windows 💕
So Lokkhi Chhele.... Firstly, this brought out the amazing and super talented actor in Ambarish Bhattacharya. What an acting!
And Ujaan Ganguly, whose eyes resemble Churni's,way of talking resembles her, while attitude resembles Kaushik Ganguly!
This indeed, would have been possible in Kolkata, in Bengal!
From the very beginning, the film kept us stuck to our seats, excited and waiting for the immediate next scene to flash to know how the story progresses ahaid.
Half an hour to the movie's end,and the movie could have been given a Bollywood style ending with the audience happy enough to go back home and recommend it to others, but, the director focused and emphasised on the story, the reality and thus made the last 30 minutes of the movie unbearably sad and thought-provoking for us.
I couldn't practically hold my tears in the last few minutes of the movie, and probably that's what masterpieces are like.
A movie worth the highest rating, and overall,a movie worth a trillion watch,in every remote village of India, every maternity care nursing home.
It's a moment of pride to say that we belong to a generation of stars like Kaushik Ganguly, Churni Ganguly,Ujaan Ganguly,Ambarish Bhattacharya and Babul Supriyo.
And,who else could have been a better producer than the most social and benevolent Nandita-Shiboprosad.
An ode to acting,cinema,humanity!

As with most Kaushik Ganguly's films, this too is based on a social issue and well crafted. The mindsets portrayed are difficult to uproot, but the film clearly tells us which path to walk.
The script has some flaws and is a tad too sentimental, but is mostly well paced and acted. Special mention for Churni Ganguly, Ambarish Bhattacharya. Music is good.

Kaushik Ganguly constructs drama like no other, and his latest release which announces his comeback as director after three years is not an exception. An audacious social commentary, powerful and truly gut-wrenching,the film addresses volatile religious dogmatism, racism ,exploitation in the name of religion compellingly. Ujaan Ganguly in his second film as an actor gives a incendiary performance,he truly inhibits his role like his skin. A passionate performance from the whole cast lifts the film to another level. The casting was tailor made for the roles. The competent script also balances well with the other aspects of the film,it evokes tension, emotion whenever required in the film. There are some believability issues in the film in the second half,as it indulges in monologues and coincidences which might seem far fetched. But the acting department has eclipsed those defects, the cast has made everything look believable .The camera work deserves special mention too,it minutely reflects each and every nuances in the film. We realize the dark world of superstition which could be viciously vindictive if shaken when we leave the hall. Kaushik Ganguly has given another thought inducing film in his career.
Kaushik Ganguly never disappoints with his direction. A great film with a great message. Great performances by Ujan Ganguly, Churni Ganguly, Indradish Roy, Ambarish Bhattacharya ( specially his narration) and others. Music on point. The film is great social commentary about casteism, superstitions, domestic violence, social stigma, political and monetary power that is relevant in every corner of India. KG has guts to take up such a topic in current India where jobless people are busy boycotting films every now and then due to bs reasons.
Everyone should watch it, be it for the performances, story or message. It is top notch on all these aspects. And the performance of Ujan Ganguly in the last scene of the film is beyond explaining, he alone steals the show there.
