This is like no other documentary series that I have seen. I believe it is long overdue but now there is finally an indigenous history show told by indigenous people. I find the combination of historical speakers, live action and the animation to be really engaging and the content is bursting at the seams with every episode. I love the fact that the stories of these iconic figures are being shared by their descendants as well as the indigenous scholars and I love the way the trickster moves through the scenes and ties everything together with respect, knowledge and humor. My only complaint is the episodes go by way too fast. A half hour is not long enough!

I watched episode 1 last week and wasn't too sure what to expect. I was happily surprised at how the creators of this show made the history come alive in a compelling and humourous way.
I sincerely hope that this series goes much further than the announced 13 episodes as it is something long overdue to share the secret history of the Wild Wild West!

A wonderful sharing of the important history of indigenous people of southern Alberta. We are so thankful to finally have indigenous history told from the only people who have the knowledge and ancestral stories to be able to tell it. I love the humor that Julian brings to the shows and he is a wonderful narrator. I sure hope there are more to come! Thank you, Julian, for all your hard work on these informative, entertaining, historical shows!!
