When Pete tails Seidel in a crowd he bumps into the same man wearing a purple cap six times within 27 seconds. A same shot was used twice in 14 seconds during this scene. Seidel also bumps into the man twice. All this suggests that film editors ran out of usable footage when creating this scene.
Jim Hicks tells Perry Mason that he's carrying a gun because a "pack of coyotes" has been attacking his farm animals. While coyotes form family groups for mating and raising young, they prefer to hunt alone or, at most, in pairs (in contrast to wolves which almost exclusively hunt in packs).
