    Dignified, Yet Predictably Bland

Having caught this film, I found it to be a bit of a mixed experience. On the plus side, the cast delivers some strong performances, bringing a lot of heart and humor to their roles. The film's attempt to infuse some genuine warmth and comedic moments is appreciated, and there are certainly a few laughs to be had.

However, the film's drawbacks are hard to ignore. The storyline feels quite derivative, relying on familiar tropes and predictable plot points that don't offer many surprises. It follows a well-trodden path without adding much originality, making it easy to anticipate where things are heading.

Additionally, the film's emotional moments often come across as heavy-handed, with sentimental triggers that feel forced rather than authentic. The storytelling is also somewhat disjointed at times, with the narrative jumping between tones and plot threads in a way that disrupts the overall flow. In all, while the film's cast and comedic elements are strong points, it's undermined by a lack of originality and some clunky storytelling. It's an okay watch if you're in the mood for something familiar and heartwarming, but it may not leave a lasting impression.

    A typical Family style movie

The kind of movie the whole family sits to watch on a weekend. It has fairly average acting and comedy.

    100% entertainment!

An extremely rich production loaded from beginning to end, Your Excellency will entertain you all the way!

    DELICIOUS

-For her directorial debut, Funke Akindele did a good job; she succeeded in carrying us on an electoral journey😀

-Your Excellency's production needs to be commended in terms of audio, score, set design, make-up, costume, lighting, color grading, cinematography, etc. The crew worked hard and it really paid off

-Akin Lewis and Funke really took ownership of their roles which elevated the story. Their chemistry was so effortless, amusing and real; they were a joy to watch

-A big round of applause to the screenwriter for including a variety of characters who magnified the plot

-The humorous 'Ajadi' dance and the ever-present social media were big eye-openers when it comes to manipulation

    -Powerful and thought-provoking dialogues

    BLAND

-Overall, the storyline was plaint. It just showed how presidential campaigns work; there was no visible climax or call to action.

    Accurate

This movie talks about Nigeria and her politicians or politheivecians as I call them. Who are all jokers and comedians in a different area of life who decided to go into politics and toil with people's lives as much as they want entertain you on campaigns and forget what they were elected for. Big ups to the producers, actors and actresses, directors and the rest of the crew, nice movie budget especially when comparing it in the nollywood. Everything was nice but we would have loved if the movie was concluded in a way it should have been and not in suspense or another part or sequel to be released later on. Good movie especially if you are Nigerian and not interested in party or favouritism from the leaders. Just shows you the people we elect as leaders in this country are comedians who lack idea on how to rule a country. Once again big ups to everyone.
