I was never a Hillary fan but this is so well made. I made a lot of assumptions without really knowing her as a person or where she came from. I basically just knew what the media fed me. She is quite human, she was very vulnerable and honest in the documentary and for that she should be admired. I would recommend that you don't buy the conspiracy theories about her and watch for yourself and keep an open mind. Watch it for what it was intended to be. Nothing was glossed over. Very thorough and well done.
I've had my reservations about her. I did get caught up with the emails that turned into nothing and I didn't like her staying with Bill. That said, not once did I ever think she couldn't handle the job of CIC nor did I think my vote mattered- I assumed she'd be president anyway so I didn't vote for her in the general election.
I read her bio and was bored by it. But I was curious about the docuseries and I watched all 4 hrs in 1 night. She came across as human and the series highlighted all of the work she's accomplished for the downtrodden in the US and beyond. She'll never be canonized in my books but the villain title doesn't belong to her either. And, with all her faults and struggles, she's done a hell of a lot. This series helped bring some of her accomplishments to the forefront without ignoring her faults and mistakes. I found that refreshing.
Netflix's sound bite is Hillary trashing Bernie Sanders . This is a piece of propaganda . Hillary Clinton in her own words bottom line who cares ! She is out of the picture now . She will never be president ! Know one can relate to her . Her reasoning for being a democrat seems to piss her dad off. Crazy spoiled chick .
I don't like Hillary Clinton. I don't like how she felt entitled for some reason to break a long held unwritten-rule of not criticizing your opponent(s) of the same party while they are in office (President Obama in 2008) or in future primary contests in which you are not even running (Sen. Sanders in 2019); I think it's opportunistic and selfish, and she's done it twice, once criticizing her way right into a cabinet position, so bad behaviour rewarded as well.
There are many other things not to like about Sec. Clinton, including an abrasive seeming personality, and a seemingly extreme self-centeredness, but that doesn't mean this isn't a fascinating (if at times fawning) character study. It even gives her an opportunity to display some of her worst instincts that only hurt the Democratic Party generally (again, saying without references or sources that people "don't like" Sen. Sanders; I'm no socialist but this is an example of being very counterproductive to her party's main goal of defeating President Trump in 2020).
But these 1/10 reviews based on how the reviewer feels about the subject are downright bizarre. Maybe it's an American thing, I'm not sure, but reviewing a film is about the merits on the film, not a popularity contest on the subject matter. This isn't rocket surgery people.

Not even 2016 DeSouza's Hillary's America piece of garbage has a lower rating than this doc. Yes, this one omits some downs like the 'deplorables' mention or how dared her show emotion before the NH primary in '08, but overall the reason Hillary is portrayed so favorably is simply because she is a remarkable figure with great achievements in American history and politics. This documentary is well edited, first showing the beginning and end (timeline wise) to finally meet at the middle, it also offers great behind the scenes moments from her campaign that give a good insight of what will be remembered as the most vicious presidential campaign in American History, and not thanks to her. I am personally grateful with Mrs Burstein work and her effective effort to offer a better look of what Mrs Clinton is, with 'receipts', footage that show the undeniable facts, who she has consistently been throughout her life and, for better or for worse, who remains the sole person in American History who has gotten more support from voters in a general presidential election
