K-20: The Fiend with Twenty Faces

Edit
The names Akechi and Hashiba may have roots in the historic Azuchi-Momoyama period. Akechi was a general who betrayed his overlord, Oda Nobunaga, and tried to become shogun. Hashiba was a son of Oda who joined in the battle to punish Akechi.
Nikola Tesla, the greatest Serbian inventor, engineer, physicist (lived in America) is the biggest character, because a lot of his inventions are mentioned in the film. A pigeons had special place in Tesla's hearth. He kept them at his hotel in New York, and he had a particular affinity for one white female.
Based on Edogawa Rampo's "Kogoro Akechi" detective novels, but re-written by Shimako Sato. Time setting has shifted from the early 1900's to 1949, while the primary location has changed from Tokyo to the fictional city of Teito.
