We really enjoyed this, though I figured out who did it by....I'm not going to say, you figure it out. The leads had very nice chemistry and looked good together, they were believable.
The reviews say this was filmed in British Columbia...duh and the settings were beautiful. Too bad it wasn't filmed in Martha's Vineyard like it was supposed to.
Worth watching.

Zee's friend Britt Prajna has recovered The Lakshmi Emeralds, a $5 million brooch, which her family lost long ago. A masked man breaks into Britt's home to steal the jewels and sends her to the hospital. Jeff and Zee go on the search for the thief.
I am more convinced than ever that Jesse Metcalfe and Sarah Lind don't have the required chemistry. The franchise should have switched her and Chelsea Hobbs. Somebody screwed up the casting process. It would be daring for Jeff to get into a love triangle. That may be the best way to generate more romance energy and quite frankly, it would be a good departure for this type of show to have more complicated romance. As for the mystery, it's fine for this type of TV movies. This franchise is more likely to rise and fall due to the romance rather than the mysteries.

Dr. Zee Madieras's friend, Britt Prajna (Sunita Prasad), takes center stage in this latest movie, or rather her long-lost family heirloom does. The Lakshmi Emeralds, a dazzling brooch worth $5 million, arrives at the Vineyard after being pulled from sale at a Boston auction house. Britt plans to showcase them at her own Pendray Hotel and has invited the town's elite to join her, but disaster soon strikes. Not even a full day has passed before Britt is attacked in her home, the brooch is stolen, and someone winds up dead.
A fairly strong entry centred around the theft of a Rajasthani emerald which leads to murder and intrigue. Jesse Metcalfe is on the case again after saying he is retired hundred times to the police chief and he assisted by the charismatic and beautiful Sarah Lind. Love her face expressions.

Jesse Metcalfe is back in this thrilling Martha's Vineyard movie mystery series. This second installation revolves around a priceless brooch being stolen. Just when you think you have it figured out, the person you pegged for doing it ends up dead! The twists and turns in this movie make it very exciting! Terrific acting, great storyline and the cinematography is outstanding! Don't mess this suspenseful, fun movie!
I feel pretty much like I did after the first movie in this series.
Police procedures seem pretty lax especially with Jeff running around entering private property, questioning and chasing suspects and other things police are authorized to do. But he's not officially on the force and he doesn't announce that he is authorized by the police. And he takes Zee with him half the time, but at least she's the coroner.
The whodunit keeps the viewers on their toes. Like the first movie, the pool of suspects gets fairly large and there are some good red herrings. I thought I knew who the bad guy was until he was the first one dead. There were some interesting twists toward the end, especially about the broach.
Jeff and Zee are into flirt mode, but I'm still not impressed with the chemistry. Each one almost comes straight out and says to the other with little preamble "tell me your most personal secrets". That's one of the problems when there is a lot going on in a two hour TV movie - there's not a lot of time for being subtle in the relationships.

- TriviaJeff's complete name is said to be "thrice Presidential": Jefferson Washington Jackson.
- GoofsIn a common TV movie mistake, the doctor says the victims were incapacitated by a stun gun. Stun guns do not knock out people, they are a pain compliance weapon used to keep an attacker away from you. Holding a stun gun against someone for 3-5 seconds would result in a loss of balance and disorientation but not loss of consciousness. This error is repeated when a girl is knocked out after a less than one second use of the stun gun.
