Family Karma

The characters are boring and there's really nothing happening from episode to episode. As a Desi person, I can watch it without enjoying it. But I'm not too sure everyone else will use their time on this. Surely, there must me more interesting Desi-Americans than these boring people.

This is my new favorite show. I am not Indian but I love learning about their culture. For the most part it is family values. It is upbeat and fun. I love all the parent's on the show more than the young people probably because I am a mom. The Indian clothing and jewelry is so beautiful. The locations in Florida are so beautiful. It has just the right amount of drama for me. Not like so many other "reality" shows with their over the top sexiness, swearing, uncomfortabe private details and the horrendous fighting. This show is a pleasure!

My parents are southern Greeks and extremely similar to the Indian culture that I always felt a kinship with Indian people. I was married out of arrangement and understand all the pressures of wanting to be a good role model in my community. What I enjoy about family Karma is that I get to laugh at all those things that annoy us about our culture. I love love this show!

Season one was ok to watch, Anisha's super anxious and makes you anxious watching her...a lot of typical Asian pretentiousness but still not too bad. Shame they were too tight in the production with no Bollywood music...like come on, if you're going to show the life, show it properly rather play some random instrumental stuff at the parties etc.

I love this show! I don't watch other Bravo reality shows, but this one hits the spot for me. I watched the full first season and I love seeing how Indian culture in Miami lives, they are all so likeable, many different life experiences and story lines, and not as much drama, more like life challenges. Hope it continues in this way. It's colorful and vibrant, I enjoyed it soooo much!
