I'm going to admit it right here and now: I'm a good fan of Jules LeBlanc and Jayden Bartels. As a sixteen year old, I find it very hard to relate to other people my age (because I'm innocent and actually have enough self-respect to not do anything wrong), and I think Jayden and Jules are the perfect examples of my ideal sixteen year old (overall innocent and easy to get along with) Therefore, when I heard they were going to be in a new show, I was excited. What do you do when you're anticipating a series premiere like this? you watch the darn thing.
The overall concept of the show is nice: three friends working together and getting jobs to pay off debts. The dialogue is cheesy, but this is 2020 Nickelodeon, so there's nothing we can do. Jules, Jayden, and Isaac make a great duo, so the casting was well done. I think I'm going to watch the second episode and see if it gets better. We're only one episode back.

For me it was so good I love how the story is going on and related with the general joke.it has good actors good everything.it gives you 2014 Nickelodeon vibes.don't believe the people that review it badly.because they are just comparing it to other Nickelodeon/Disney shows
We've had some garbage shows come out of Nickelodeon this year, such as "Danger Force" and "Unfiltered." But this show isn't terrible. The actors may be TikTokers, but they get along really well. Some may try extremely hard to do something funny or quirky, but other than that, I don't hate this show. The theme song is nice. The tone is extremely positive. The comedy isn't the best, but not the worst either. I give this show a 7/10.
When Jules (also known as Annie) revealed that she was going to star in a Nickelodeon show I was genuinely excited. I love both her and Jayden, and really couldn't wait to watch it, but I was very disappointed.
I think this would be a great show for 'kids' since there is no foul language, and it is pretty 'happy'. You know, it gives you this happy vibe. However, the story line is for older viewers, which makes it hard to follow for the younger viewers. If you know what I mean; the acting is all for younger kids, and the plots for older kids. That makes it rather difficult to watch.
I am definitely NOT hating on this show, because I think that if I have nothing else to do I might watch it now and then. The laugh tracks, however, are totally unnecessary at certain points and give this awkward vibe. Nickelodeon could really use a family sitcom show that both adults and kids can relate with.
Overall I give the show 5 stars since I absolutely LOVE the character development throughout the episodes, I LOVE the friendship that Lex and Presley have, and I LOVE the idea of a quirky neighbor (but sometimes he is too quirky.)
I think that Nickelodeon could do a lot better if they tried, but for now this show is okay. It attracts a nice amount of kids who watch it and will not get influenced by bad behavior through the characters. Parents reading this; this show is absolutely safe. I would say (ignoring the teenage problems they face) it is from 5 to 10 years old? maybe even younger; 8 or something.

Side hustle is a show that has potential and a few funny jokes but the show just can't escape what is a mediocre execution. The cast is likable enough and they give fine enough performances but there really isn't a lot of chemistry. This is definitely better than Young Dylan and Danger Force because it at least has a somewhat fun edge to it. But still, this is a show that has a few funny jokes, some fun ideas, but a lackluster execution.
