X Factor

Edit
The show has been a major ratings success for its Danish broadcaster. The first season rocketed from just over one million viewers for the first episode to 2.2 million for the finale, with a time slot share of up to 80 percent. The second season followed suit with upwards of 1.5 million viewers for each episode and almost 2.3 million for the finale, which became the most-watched episode of an entertainment series since comprehensive ratings data became available in Denmark in 1992.
Of the first season contestants, at least five have released albums since the finals (Martin, Heidi, Basim, Frederik, VocaLoca). First season winner Martin's album "Show the World" has sold at least 70,000 copies and was the second highest-selling album in Denmark in 2008 according to IFPI.
It made Danish news pages when the producers chose to fake the judges' helicopter landing at the start of the second season. The judges didn't actually arrive with the helicopter, but got in when it landed and then exited for the cameras. Also, it was a rental helicopter usually used as a news chopper by competing channel TV 2.
