It Cuts Deep

This is a really weird film. It's not good, it's not bad too. It's something in between. That is why I give it 5.

I thought I'd enjoy this, but I went into it expecting too much. It's a light Christmas comedy horror. It has a little bit of gore, but it's not creepy, scary or shocking.

It started out with quirky characters and the potential to take the plot somewhere interesting. It was engaging and I was interested to see how it would come together. It became pretty cliche though, and when it ended I felt like I'd wasted my time. It might have been ok if I hadn't expected it to have a good twist or to have some kind of unsettling impact.

If you watch it, go in with low expectations and enjoy the fun characters.

So like I said, oh, so awkward. The main characters' relationship is just... not a relationship. The girlfriend's acting is beautiful, she's very talented, the actor who plays the boyfriend on the other hand, this is not your area. Sometimes I genuinely want to punch him through the TV. Now, it might be because of the bad script writing, but wow, he's not great. The jokes are just poor quality dad jokes. The trailer was completely misleading, glad we wasted a coupon code rather than paying six bucks for this thing.

Well, the description on amazon was totally incorrect and for another film. This is a film about nothing that just makes you cringe with terrible acting the whole way through. No real storyline. Absolute waste of time, I kept thinking it would get better but it didn't. Literally one of the worst things I have ever seen...

So I'm taking it that the main male character had a break, or harbors underlying psychosis. But even then, the other characters just make bad choices that exacerbate the situation. Simple plot given much too much space to unwind, leading to a nothing. Avoid if you can't tolerate independent and unanswered films.
