Not The Obsidian Movie Based on A Book

This movie said it was based off the book that I was looking for. This isn't it!! If you're looking for that one keep on trucking please. While this movie is obviously low budget and someone's passion project, it isn't as bad as you'd think. I've seen way worse. Good attempt.

This movie is a horror show

Where to begin... you know a film is straight out of the excrement pile when one of the male horndog characters calls the sexy woman in the cast "sugar tits" to which she recoils in revulsion.

A half dozen people with some type of skin deformities, including one guy with half his face melted, are put into a house together to begin the most unprofessional drug trial ever seen which supposedly will remedy skin conditions. Hilariously, the doctor leaves medication in a safe in this safe house which he never visits because... I have no idea. The safe is painfully easy to crack in seconds for the horrendous acting and even worse script to unfold. Some gratuitious nudity is shown because if the film isn't worth seeing and especially hearing, they might as well flash a sexy female body for a few seconds. All the while, oneo f the hotties is unexplainably drawn to our boy with his grilled cheese face.

And sadly, there is still an hour left to this disaster, which feels like a high school acting project. Man invites his white southern friend into the house and the conversation devolves into an all time low that sounds completely ad-libbed like the rest of the film. Explaining how grilled cheese man got his skin injury is explained in even more ridiculous fashion.

This is truly terrible. I'll give it one extra star for half decent camerawork and that there might even be worse - but not much worse. This is so bad there isn't even an effort for the usual fake reviews.

    Why?

How many movies have been made since the development of motion pictures?

Rather a lot, I believe. In fact, many of us have seen quite a few of them.

So why is it that there are still people out there who are totally incapable of learning anything, anything at all, about filmmaking, even after apparently spending a rather decent amount of time on a film set??

"Obsidian" is proof, yet again, that anyone can buy/rent a camera and a couple of lights, rope in some remarkably untrained actors then call "action".

Kids, there are plenty of totally legitimate reasons for your script to be binned by the professionals, even if those same professionals make mistakes themselves.

But there's more often than not good reason why they're called professionals.

This dreadful, visually ugly mess deserves no encouragement whatsoever,

The only spoiler I can offer is that this tripe is rancid.

    Saw this disaster by accident

I was shipped the wrong movie, otherwise I probably would never ever have seen this movie. In this movie there is some sort of half mutilated guy with friends, one even in a wheelchair, who all stay in a house. The main reason to never ever see this movie is the terrible acting. Then there is the fact that there is no story, all in all terrible.
