After flooding the apartment where everyone lived together, Tamara, her husband Jadranko, their teenage son and the father Drago were forced to move in with her sister Ana, who just bought a house with her husband Boris and her one-year-old son. Relaxed and loud newcomers will immediately occupy the living room and refrigerator and make themselves at home, showing that they have no plans in leaving easily, while their rather ambitious and tidy hosts have one of the most important days in their lives - they must impress Boris's strict boss to assign him with a long-desired, prestigious job in Brussels.

When Jadranko brings Boris' boss Glavina drunk to their house late at night, Glavina falls asleep on their couch. While waiting for him to sober up, Jadranko and Boris have to get Glavina's forgotten briefcase left at the night club.

The unemployed Jadranko contacts his ex-girlfriend Daniela to pretend that he made it in life, and when she decides to visit him with her husband, Jadranko persuades Tamara to pretend he is rich and that Boris' house belongs to them.

After hearing that Lukas is bullied in school, Jadranko and Tamara summon the bully's divorced dad for a talk, but the latter charms Tamara with his sweet talk. And then Ana. Grandpa Drago talks with the bully and writes his homework.

Jadranko is at first relieved that Tamara is not pregnant again, but then tries to persuade her to get pregnant. Ana is annoyed by an ugly armchair that doesn't fit in the house, but Drago bought it. She brings Drago to a psychiatrist.

After Boris complains that Jadranko is bothering him in the house, Jadranko, Tamara and Drago drive off in the car to ostensibly look for an apartment at Meho. But Meho doesn't exist, and Jadranko just drives in circles all night.

Boris wants to be intimate with Ana, but she is not in the mood while the baby is in their bedroom. In the meantime, grandpa Drago feels lucky that his date with a lady is going so well, all until she turns out be a Jehovah's Witness.

Boris and Drago are following Jadranko, who is seeing an unknown woman in a far-away house. They suspect Jadranko is cheating on his wife, Tamara. However, Jadranko has only been taking math instructions there to teach Lukas math at home.

Jadranko finally finds a job, and his salary is now even higher than Boris', so he becomes Drago's new favorite in the house. However, the boss only hired Jadranko to get to Boris and persuade him to pass a government application.

When Drago injures his back, a nurse shows up in the house to give him a massage, but Boris recognizes her as his affair 13 years ago. Boris confesses this to Ana, and she forgives him - because she also had an affair during that time.

When Boris' parents announce their visit from Sinj, Boris and Ana are persuaded to get married in a church, since they previously only registered their marriage at a civil registry office.

Ana lies to her father, Drago, that his friend left to live in a village to hide the fact the latter died. When people tell Ana she is boring, she decides to try out something new.

Boris fears that the secret service is spying on him to check him for his upcoming trip to Brussels. When Boris befriends a man at a child playground, both are arrested when the latter turns out to be a criminal.

Jadranko buys a stolen watch for Boris' birthday. When Jadranko's aunt dies and leaves him $2000 inheritance, he generously invites everyone to a fancy dinner. But then the lawyer takes his share of the inheritance and Jadranko cannot pay.

After winning a pressure gauge, Drago decides to test it on Jadranko, just as a joke, but it turns out Jadranko has a too high blood pressure. Lukas' girlfriend Lucija, who helps him for homework, is too cynical towards Drago and Jadranko.

In order to help him get some government funding, Boris brings his boss Glavina at an experimental theater play by abstract artist Martin, but the play is a disaster. However, Glavina thinks Martin's performer Ivanka is attractive.

While trying to register their kid for kindergarten, Boris farts, but the teacher thinks that Ana actually farted. Ashamed, Ana enlists the kid at a kindergarten at the other end of Zagreb. Tamara seduces a cop as to not pay a fine.

After Lukas writes how his dad is unemployed for homework, Jadranko decides to find a job as a taxi driver. Since no customer wants to enter Drago's old car, Jadranko decides to secretly take Boris' car for the taxi, but it gets stolen.

After Tamara is depressed that she is too old to be attractive anymore, Jadranko pays two construction workers to wolf-whistle at her. That offends Ana who complaints, and thus Boris notifies their boss, who fires said construction workers

When Drago is sent to a hospital, the medical staff mixes up his files with his namesake and declares Drago dead. Back home, Drago thus loses his pension and has to go to a court to prove he is still alive.

When a fight breaks out in a pinball store, Ana instinctively hides behind the taller Jadranko for cover, which upsets Ana's husband, the short Boris, who feels inferior. Boris thus decides to start training boxing, to become an Alpha male

Boss Glavina orders Boris to go to a live TV show and defend the new government policy, but since Jadranko accidentally took his paper with a graph on it to write down a phone number, Boris has a terrible performance on TV.

Ana and Boris go to a wine-tasting dinner hosted by the French embassy. Drago tries out online dating with older women.

Jadranko tries to hook up Drago with a woman his age.

Grandpa Drago wants to persuade the unemployed Jadranko to perform as a magician at children's parties. However, the clumsy Jadranko gets stuck in a trunk for his magic trick.

Boris gets a new secretary in his office, Irena, who starts flirting with him. However, when Boris' boss Glavina transfers Irena to his office, Irena starts flirting with Glavina, and Boris realizes she's only after whoever her new boss is

Tamara and Jadranko prepare numerous cheat-notes for Lukas' school competition, but when Lukas gets a 100% score, he admits to Drago he cheated. In order to prove she is not prude, Ana wants to have sex with Boris on a different location.

After a high school reunion, Tamara decides to get a breast augmentation surgery, and Jadranko decides to take Drago's savings to finance it.

After Jadranko blames grandpa Drago for losing his new job of a van delivery, Drago is so insulted that he decides to leave the house and live with Martin.

Thinking that their love life has lost passion, Tamara buys a hot leather negligee, but her whip hits and injures Jadranko.

Neighbor Dasa starts her Internet education lectured by Ana.

Since he spent too much time with Martin playing music, Lukas gets an F in math at school, so Lucija breaks up with him. However, when Drago tells Lucija Lukas has three girls, Lucija comes back. Boris brings a female purse for a meeting.

After Glavina secretly tells him to buy food because there will be a government-mandated quarantine due to Covid-19 pandemic, Boris informs Drago, who in turns tells everybody, causing a calamity.

Zagreb is hit by an earthquake.

Ana thinks her cohabitants don't love her because they mock her for disinfecting everything during the pandemic. Glavina holds a live TV interview in a suit from his home, but when he stands up, it is revealed he isn't wearing any pants.

Lukas tries selling coffee on the bench during the pandemic, but is sent back home by a police officer because he didn't pay taxes. Jadranko starts working as a delivery person, but his bicycle is stolen.

Jadranko becomes a co-owner of a new cafe bar. Ana and Tamara ask Drago about buying a new apartment.

After Martin read a novel by Miroslav Krleza online from his home, he left the camera on and accidentally streamed Ivanka taking off her clothes in the room. When Jadranko tells her that, Ivanka is furious at Martin. Glavina wants to quit.

Since Jadranko's cafe bar is going poorly, Ana suggests that he should change his target audience to middle-aged mothers, and ditch coffee for smoothies. Jadranko accepts the re-branding and even sits to talk with guests about ballet.

Just as Boris was supposed to take a flight to Brussels, he is stopped and taken away by the police because Jadranko was tested positive for Covid-19, so the entire house is placed under quarantine.

After Jadranko returns one night late to home, Drago pepper sprays him. Jadranko and Tamara thus announce they want to move out from the house, but Drago feels insulted and thus leaves the house first and goes to live in an apartment.

After someone broke into their cafe bar, Jadranko and Tamara inflate the value of missing items and get a large amount of insurance money. Ana wants to use said money to invest into stocks, so Boris has to use confidential government info.

When a woman asks if she can order a birthday cake at their cafe bar, Tamara and Jadranko say yes. However, since Tamara cannot bake, Jadranko tricks Dasa to make a cake for him, without paying. Boris' niece Kike arrives in Zagreb to study

At dinner, Glavina's young girlfriend Ivanka gets into an argument with Boris' wife Ana. Since Glavina is his boss, he orders Boris to persuade Ana to apologize to Ivanka. However, Ana persuades Ivanka to emancipate, which annoys Glavina.

Upon hearing the rumor that Martin might be the one who made Ivanka pregnant, Glavina has Martin found and subject to a DNA test. Ivanka is so angry that Glavina doesn't trust her that she breaks up with him. Martin decides to propose her.

When Drago decides to help Martin write a romantic story, it gets published in a fashion magazine, and now they have an offer to continue writing. Boris is invited to be the best man for his boss, Glavina's wedding with Ivanka.

Boris and Ana are invited for a birthday party. Drago finds an 1980s nude magazine featuring "naughty Dasa", so he becomes closer with his neighbor Dasa, thinking it was her. They lie in bed in Ana's bedroom just as Ana shows up.
