Bobby Deol and Vidya Balan were signed for the lead roles but later opted out.
Inspired from Rajshri Productions own hit film Tapasya 1976 staring Rakhee and Parikshit Sahani.
The film was previously titled "Ek Anokha Vivah"
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
