For some reason the pacing this episode did not sit week with me, eveything felt kind of rushed and very fast. But that ending! Feeling some Homelander vibes.

We start the ep seeing our 4 leads moving into the Smallville farm and getting their new lives in order. Everyone has their own storylines and they all get a chance to shine. Lois is following up on Morgan Edge (and also has some great interactions with the Smallville Gazette reporter), Jon is having to deal with the football team & being left out of the Father-Son bonding (he is really becoming a highlight), Jordan does some testing at the Fortress and Clark has Luthor to deal with.

The battles between Superman & Luthor continue to look great and the special effects are very well done. We even had Superman leaving Earth's Atmosphere at one point and it was quite the sight.

I also liked that not everything is portrayed as completely black & white. We get the point of view and motives of some of the secondary cast. Kyle explains to Lois why even some new jobs in Smallville are better than nothing and Luthor explains his motives for going after Superman (including an amazing flashback!).

With only 2 episodes in, this is becoming the cant miss show of 2021.

2 episodes in and I'm still pleasantly impressed with this show, I was honestly expecting a supergirl / batwoman woke fest without bad acting and terrible writing. But this show hits all the relevant marks. A good family show that doesn't go out of its way to annoy its fan base. For a change I will say well done CW.

This is a way better episode than the pilot,better acting from the kids, the dialogue and writing also is better, great episode overall.

Everyone might have doubted the second episode could not sustain; they're all wrong. Can't wait for more "Lois Lane things". Bitsie has been amazing!
