Hanne is six-year-old and has started to build a hut in the biggest apple tree. Her best friend Morten is on vacation, so Hanne has to ask her mother for help.

Hanne must help her mother, whose leg is broken, by doing the housework her mom usually does.

Hanne and her mother have almost no money left, so how will Hanne help raising money?

Hanne's mother has broken her leg, and can do almost nothing by herself. Later that night, neither Hanne and her mother can sleep, and scary things happen in their garden.

Hanne and her mother live alone. When her mother breaks her bone, Hanne must do the most. Then their new neighbor comes to visit.
