This film is hilarious, heartfelt, and proudly local. The film captures the essence of what makes everyday people heroic-not superpowers, but courage, kindness, and persistence. The main character is someone we all recognize: not perfect, not confident, but willing to try. The writing is sharp and full of quotable lines, especially if you're familiar with the local slang. The action is modest but creatively done, and the emotional beats land surprisingly well. It's a film made with love, and it shows. More than just a parody or a comedy, "Ahsiap Man" is a celebration of community and identity.
I've just watched this film for 30 minutes, and to be honest I can't stand seeing the storyline and also the acting of the main character which is very bad, especially in scenes that should look badass instead it looks very cringy, and the storyline is too flat, really not a recommendation to watch,Jokes that are too forced, To be honest the other actors still look good compared to the main character, the acting looks fresher.
Yes, I should appreciate the rise of Indonesian films, but what's it worth, appreciating trash works that are just a waste of time, I don't think so, there are still many Indonesian films that are better and better appreciated than this film.

"Ahsiap Man" is not your usual superhero flick-and that's exactly why it works. It's rooted in the everyday lives of ordinary people, and yet manages to be extraordinary. The protagonist, a seemingly clueless guy with a heart of gold, becomes a symbol of hope in the most unexpected way. What I loved most is how the film never tries to be something it's not. It embraces its local identity, using slang, cultural references, and humor that feel so familiar and real. It makes you laugh, but also reflect. It's rare to find a film that can juggle absurd comedy and genuine emotion this well. A must-watch for anyone who's tired of cookie-cutter heroes.

"The film cleverly uses local expressions, everyday situations, and social commentary to connect with the audience on a deeper level. The comedic timing is spot on, and the dialogue feels natural, making it easy to laugh along while still appreciating the emotional moments. It's a rare mix of comedy, action, and sincerity. Although the film doesn't rely on big-budget effects, its creativity, storytelling, and strong performances carry it beautifully. Ahsiap Man is proof that a superhero doesn't need a cape or millions of dollars in CGI-sometimes, all you need is heart, humor, and a little ""Ahsiap!"" spirit."
Wow, it's cool that Atta can make a film like this. Very funny and very entertaining anyway. The clash with the local superhero played by Atta is really cool, it's really funny but there's a lesson too, the story plot can also be captured well. The storm is really cool, the film really bounces. The players really animate the characters in the roles. The story plot is neatly and sweetly packaged and easy to catch for the audience. Zul's fighting spirit who never gives up in achieving his obsessions and dreams. This movie is really cool, Atta. Taking pictures is also really good. Cool production. The plot is good and the overall story is good.
