This is the only Yash Raj Film that Ameesha Patel worked in. She was earlier offered a role for [Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002)], but she was uninterested in working with less successful actors at the beginning of her career, in which she was replaced by [Tulip Joshi]
Several references are made to the film's crew throughout the film. For example, Mallaika states that her bag is a Manish Malhotra (one of the film's costume designers) during the court scene, while associate director Binoy Gandhi, described as a mega film star, is punished by God for paying bribes to win awards.
Rani Mukherji sports one layered outfit designed by Manish Malhotra throughout the film while some layers have been taken off according to the requirements of each scene.
