I get this show isn't for everyone, but I think it's hilarious. Everyone ripping on it for being too obscene is missing the fact that it's sort of the point. I think the animation is hilarious and I love how unconventional it is.
This is such a weird, fast-paced animated trip, and you don't even need drugs to help. But as an American, I love and appreciate this change of pace. Side note: This is the beginning of something big...mark my words, Michael Cusack will be the next big voice in adult animation, will even replace Justin Roiland. I love weird, I love wacky, as long as the humor syncs with my own style. I'm also a sucker for Australian culture and entertainment, especially as of late with the new Hulu semi-hit "Koala Man," which I also recommend. This show has it all, it seems. It lacks direction, but that's what makes it fun.
As a side note, it feels like "Super Jail" had an Aussie baby with "Squidbillies." I swear, is Rachael even human? Or is she a demon from hell, hellbent on just trying her/its best to fit in with humanity?
This show feels like you need drugs of any and all sorts. You do, and you do not. It also makes you want to be Australian, for some weird reason. It's loaded with Australian culture, and you'd have to be a bloody wally (yes I looked that up) to turn away that charming Australian accent that ALL the characters have.
This show has the feeling of that obtuse, singled-out kiosk at a trendy art fair that pulls you in and makes you hate yourself for having the slightest interest in what it's selling. It feels like the avant-garde indie flick at Sundance that just "works." It's got so many issues and eyebrow-raising moments that you doubt it often, but then it pulls you in with it's quick wit and charm.
I dunno. I recognize it's stupid, and I'm sure it's more fun for someone who enjoys some of the more "recreational" substances, but I feel like it can be enjoyed by anyone who loves strange, random, Aussie humor.

The marathon last night was a fever dream I kept calling back to rick and morty bushworld adventures then it had an updated version with a soundtack i have the orignal ecorded from the april fools airing all i have to say is WTF??¡?!! And then it ended with the failed but eventually successful suicide hotline like omg i still dont know if last night was real
I have watched almost every show ever made on adult swim both when i used to smoke weed a lot and now that i havn't touched it in 6 years. There are few shows that will make me laugh out loud sober these days, but this is one of the acceptions. Every episode in this show had me laughing out loud at multiple points.
This show is such a joy to me. When the show was first released we were all waiting for Smiling Friends so some people just brushed it off. But Micheal Cusack is a genuinely funny voice actor, writer and animator who obviously has all types of hilarious ideas. The humor may not be for everyone. For me all the little songs, and quirky I guess "Australian" characters and bits just kill me every time. Just add so much character and feel to it, and when a show can make me laugh every episode a few times I consider it a success. Plus the surprise of season 2 even happening has been great. The first 3 episodes of season 2 have been fantastic with each being better than the last. And the idea of "serializing"(using that term somewhat lightly) could be a really great idea. Either way hopefully we get more of this show and more Micheal Cusack! Smiling Friend, this and Koala man show that this guy and also the talented crew of YouTube guys (mostly smiling friends) have better comedy and writing skills that what normal Hollywood gives us.
