Late 1800's - Housewife Emma Wright lives her life feeling unfulfilled, unhappy, and "trapped" by her husband. Out in this small desert town, she dreams of moving to the more modern and fast paced lifestyle of New York city. Her husband, William Wright, is a hard working, caring, and honest man. Emma realizes there is no way she can ever leave this town or her husband for the big city life - unless of course, William's life is cut short.—Carlos Diaz

Her husband, William Wright, is a hard-working, caring, and honest man who is content with all he has accomplished living out life on his large property. After finding much success in mining for gold, he is now is able to provide food, supplies, and services to miners. He's accumulated more than enough funds to buy, sell, and export goods to local and non-local merchants alike. His unhappy wife realizes that there is no way she will ever be able to leave the small town or her husband for the big city life - unless, of course, William's life is cut short.—Carlos Diaz
