It's cringe to watch. Every character is hated in the first minute of its appearance... They say the actors in this movie are 15?? 15? cmon that's ridiculous... They look 23-25 smh
Not worth the waste of time....
My 11 year old hockey player said after he watched the first two episodes:
1) "I didn't know they play hockey in England, I thought they love soccer."
2) "No way an elite team would play with this kind of cheap hockey sticks."
The actors who play 15 year olds looks like they are in their mid 20ies.
Anybody who knows a little bit about the basics of hockey and figure skating, and most people do, will find the show unbelievable with no authenticity. Good premise, not so good execution.
- props are important in story telling - even my son's local team plays with one piece carbon composite sticks.

Good storyline, terrible acting, and one thing is certain NO way a great hockey player from Canada is moving away from Canada. This part of the show makes no sense.
Everything about this show is cheap and tacky. Poor acting, script and directing. It's sad that Netflix canceled Spinning Out which was fantastic and the ice skating was a high standard and then release this cheap imitation
It's definitely not good, but it's not that awful either. You'll feel the writers are beginners with a mix of good and bad ideas. The drama is forced most of the time with almost nothing supporting it, many things are undeveloped or resolved before we'd start to care. Some of the kids act more like sociopaths than actual people, turning from a gentle person to a total *D* the very next scene. Photography is good, well, everything is what you'd expect from a professional team except for the scenario that is mediocre at best. Watch it if you're doing something else, if you like ice sports... otherwise don't bother, it'll feel like a waste of your time.

- TriviaFilmed at Ice Sheffield in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England.
- GoofsThe entire premise of the series is total nonsense. There is no such thing as a Ice Hockey Academy, or a ice-hockey scholarship in the UK. Despite a number of American players in the league, there's certainly nobody recruiting kids from the US to play here.
UK Ice Hockey Academies are just training programs at the local ice-rink. They are not schools, or connected to schools, and don't offer any kind of incentive to join.
