Watching this was the triumph of hope over experience. I should have known better than to expect anything other than what I got: a lot of excruciating, sententious waffle, over-interpretation and political point scoring by the usual pompous BBC4 'splainers, man- and lady- alike, which has only made lockdown a more trying experience.
