And this episode was rare and special. Even the finest programs spin their wheels far too frequently, but this was all moving forward. Back to the future, as it were.
Real human feelings permeated every scene.

No bullets
No deaths
No surprizes
Just the moments that every true lover of Vince Gilligan's great shows was waiting for.
The bridging events, that bald scalp on Saul's head, those final honest words out of Kim's mouth.
The simplest conversations between all the characters of the show and yet touching and moving the heart of someone who loves this show and has felt many ups and downs of his own life and relates to feelings of farwell and good bye.

If this has been the finale of the entire series, it would've ranked as one of the best in history.
I won't spoil anything except to say that I feel completely devastated yet also completely satisfied with the way storylines were tied up. Luckily we still have 4 more episodes to go and I have no idea where this is headed. The best news is there isn't a show I trust more to do something great with the time we have left.

What is there to say that cannot already be said? The pacing is like a roller coaster now, the acting is better than ever, and every piece of cinematography is beautiful.

A bleak look at our characters as they deal with the aftermath of the cataclysmic events we witnessed in the last few weeks. It was sad haunting and uncomfortable as it should be. Ending any show is no easy task and the writers prove every week that we are in very safe hands and they are the unmatched masters of storytelling and I really hope that this crew stays together for another project after this show is done and dusted.

- TriviaThe opening song is "Perfect Day," written by Harry Nilsson and originally recorded on his 1977 album "Knnillssonn." The version heard in this episode is a collaboration between Keeley Bumford Dresage and Valente Bertelli. On Breaking Bad Insider Podcast (2009), it was explained that the creative team commissioned this cover because Nilsson's original wasn't long enough to cover the full montage. Nilsson's version is featured in the soundtrack of All That Jazz (1979), a film referenced by Jimmy in season 1 ("It's showtime, folks!").
