    Host Faruq Tauheed takes half-siblings Michelle and Rob to Mexico City where they discover that they are related to the Uruchurtus, a very famous Mexican political family. Their journey includes a trip to the ornate National Palace where they learn that their second cousin Ernesto gave the keys to Mexico City to President John F. Kennedy. During the preparation for the annual cultural event The Day of the Dead, they learn their third cousin Manual Uruchurtu died on the Titanic, after giving up his seat on a lifeboat to a woman in need.

But closer to Evan's heart, he learns that two of his uncles, who he had met when he was a child, were POWs in WWII both receiving purple hearts. After they deeply connect, the two dance at a western hall.

After winning the property Larkin went on to be a delegate in the Republican Party and helped elect African-American officials into Tennessee government.

But that's not the only esteemed family member, the two learn that they have direct ties to James Howell who owned a large iron works company and was an integral part in building the Brooklyn Bridge.

But due to an unfortunate turn of fate, Joseph Barlow lost his riches in a political cue. As the two men connect over their own entrepreneurship, they learn where their family's resilience came from.

At the battlefield, Paul and Kalina learn that Austin was taken prisoner by the Confederate Army but escaped and hid in slave huts until he made his way back to the Union Army. Paul, a Vietnam veteran, connects his own experience and believes that being a combat Vet is in his genes.

Then they discover that their 3-times great-granddad Samuel Osborn went from debtor's prison to owning a fleet of Whaling Ships. A surprise visit from their parents, Ashley and Elliott, allows them to share their found history.
