The Rebel is a beautiful series and I love the aesthetics it showcases, from the composition to the soundtrack. The script and acting are one of the masterpieces. First of all, the script of The Rebel is very good, and the characters have enough growth lines to be convincing. Secondly, the respect of the female images in Rebels makes me feel very comfortable. Last but not least, the leading actor Zhu Yilong perfectly and completely demonstrated Lin Nansheng's growth and the depth of thought that each stage of life should have. Lin Nansheng is not a universal protagonist with a halo and a golden finger, but he makes me believe that he is a real person who had once lived.

Lin Nansheng, played by Zhu Yilong, is the most dazzling presence in the play. He vividly portrays Lin Nansheng's growth and transformation. From the youthfulness and ignorance when he first entered the training class, with confusion and longing for the future revealed in his eyes, to the hesitation after experiencing a series of events, struggling inwardly between justice and loyalty, and finally firmly choosing his faith, with incomparable perseverance and courage shining in his eyes. Through his meticulous performance, Zhu Yilong makes the audience clearly feel every fluctuation in Lin Nansheng's heart.

In the scene where Gu Shenyan sacrifices himself, Zhu Yilong shows Lin Nansheng's complex emotions incisively and vividly through his trembling hands, sorrowful eyes and uncontrollable anger, which can't help but move the audience.
Thank you Zhu Yi long for his professional level of acting skills. It is only 43 episodes, however, together with Zhu yilong, every single second of his acting can last a lifetime inspiring. He made me believed that he is actually going through the 10 years of what Lin NanSheng had been going through. Zhu yilong's acting is not only seeming real, but is that I can't predict his every reaction before he has them. There are many, many truthful ways that surprise me. His every shot is iconic. Lastly, the picturesque and the cinematography is marvelous.
