Lost Islands (2008)

Goofs

Lost Islands

Edit

Factual errors

Erez is allegedly serving in the Airborne Special Forces Battalion of the Israeli army (Tsanhanim). However, his shoulder sleeve insignia is of Golani.
Twice during the movie the subtitles do not match what the actors are saying. The first is at the high-school were Neta asks to borrow a notebook in mathematics. A few sentences later the subtitles say "Matematika" (Hebrew for mathematics) but the actors don't. The second event is later in the movie when Neta is asked whether her friend is nice - the actors say "nechmad" (nice) and the subs say "bachur nechmad" (nice guy).

Anachronisms

When Erez and Neta are in Tel-Aviv, they go to visit Erez's father at his place of work. When they are outside on the street, a cell-tower antenna is clearly visible. Those weren't around at the time the movie takes place (1981). Cell phones weren't available in Israel until 1986.
When Erez and Neta are in Tel-Aviv, the Century Tower can be spotted in the background. It wasn't built until the mid-80s.
When Erez and Neta wake up in the sea shore, the Hertzelia marina and residential buildings are clearly seen. They were built only in the 2000s.
