This film relates to many people in so many areas of life, whether it is: husband and wife, parent and child, or personal demons. And if that is not enough, there is a thriller aspect to the female lead. Throughout the film I was wanting resolution in so many areas, hoping it was solvable.

The writing was superb as it kept the movie flowing in a escalating emotional ride. For me I get bored when the conversations do not seem to go anywhere without a purpose.

When you stay at the edge of your seat, you know it is a good film.

Adding the thriller portion to the movie was the secret sauce coupled with the stressful life of the male lead.

This movie kept my attention from start to finish. It also opened my eyes to the plight of women that are victims of human trafficking. The thing I really like most about this movie is how straight forward and honest the storyline is in dealing with a topic as heavy as this. Women of all ages should really watch this movie as it not only identifies a nightmare of an issue that exists worldwide, but it also provides realistic solutions for young ladies that become trapped in a similar situation. The production of the movie was outstanding, and both writing and directing are of top quality. I was fascinated with how multiple character themes are woven into the script with seeming ease. I recommend this riveting drama to all are seeking to be entertained at the highest level, and to those that yearn to see palpable solutions to real world problems.

Visiting Friends is a heartfelt, personal story that packs in a lot of pathos without feeling maudlin or melodramatic. It features strong performances from both the leads and the supporting cast. The atmospheric cinematography, which features a lot of nighttime shots bathed in city and suburban streetlights, complements the brooding but hopeful tone of the story.
