Linda: There is something about winter. A sense of cold, quiet desperation. Mother Nature's grudge biting against a silent and powerless soul. And then, it escalates, into a raging torrent of frost and snow, meant to stifle and choke the human spirit, to starve life out of existence. Sure, humanity likes to cover it up with holidays, religion, consumerism. But there is no denying the underlying reality of winter. This is the season of suffering, the season of one's barest survival instincts.
