I love this show
The first couple of seasons are kind of weird. But I love this show so much i wish I could watch it for the first time again.
High School Season's Were The Best
The new 9O21O, promising start, dissapointing ending.
Unfortunalty the series fell vitcim to three Executive Producer changes, all three putting their own flare on the series.
Personally, Seasons 1-3 are my favourtie, and I just wished the series skipped over the collage nonsanse in seasons 4 & 5.
If you like Gossip Girl, you'll enjoy 9O21O.

Come on, give it a break!
As I see it, everyone is comparing it too much with the original series. It has not much to do with it, except for the setting and some of the original characters (that I believe were put in just to grab attention). Personally, I see it as a whole new project and I don't care much about the old one.
The first episodes started off a bit lame, it reminded me of 7th Heaven with all the we're-one-big-happy-family thing. But the last episodes got my attention back. The characters and plot developed faster, bringing speed and interesting situations.
The thing I don't like is the fact that it's all set in high school. For a few reasons: the characters don't look like they're 16 (I know, they never do, but 23-year old actors are too much for me); it's giving a non-existing picture of what it looks like in high school, it could be set in college, so that 15-year-old girls wouldn't get such a messed up picture.
I don't know, it's not that bad, for me it's another show like Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls, O.C. or whatever. They're completely different, I agree, yet it's still the same: love, hatred, family, friendship etc. If you like that kind of thing, you probably won't be disappointed.

Something fresh, new and amazing!
Okay let me first start with the fact the first half of season one was clichéd, boring and dumb. So it would explain why people where bashing it when it came out.
Perhaps the writers listened to our complaints, and decided hey, let's just do what we want.
And by god, this show became GREAT! Bipolar Silver. Annie getting bitchy. Naomi's fits and her sister are just so funny! Adriana became a likable character and her and Navid make an interesting couple.
Jessica Lowndes is absolutely stunning, and Shenae Grimes is getting better and better with acting.
Overall, give it a chance and you will be surprised, it's fresh, funny and has a good dose of drama that isn't redundant but fun!

Is it bad? Absolutely. Is it also enjoyable? 100%
I have a deep love for this show. I remember it aired at the same time as Gossip Girl, which was huge in comparison. Granted, it was a better show, but something about 90210 made me love it more.
The positives are: it's witty, the actors are good and there's tons of drama, even though it gets very teeny and overdramatic a lot of the times. On the flip side, it's often very intruiging with some juicy and dark storylines, scandals and plot twists. The negatives are that so many of the problems the characters have are often based soly on really stupid misunderstandings, and some storylines are beyond ridiculous you end up skipping them. Some storylines don't even have a conclusion, and it's pretty annoying.
To me, Annalynne McCord is the absolute star of the show, and she's honestly too good for it. Her character, Naomi Clark makes the whole show worth watching for me, she's incredible. I also really like Shenae Grimes aka Annie. They both have the most character development and are the most interesting characters with a great chemistry and very entertaining feuds that comes and goes.
The show has a rocky first season, still with some great moments, but season 2-3 is when the show really found its footing and shined. Then it kind of goes off the rails again with really stupid storylines, but my favorite characters are still worth watching.
It is what it is, it's teeny and ridiculous and soapy, but they really lean into it in a way that it doesn't take itself too seriously, so you can just have fun with it.

- TriviaHilary Duff was first offered the part of Annie Wilson but declined the role. Shenae Grimes-Beech was then cast.
- GoofsThroughout the series, it's clear that the actors/actresses portraying teenagers are actually in their 20s and up. This is done to not interfere with the schooling of real teenagers and to give the general viewing audience, who are teenagers themselves, someone to adulate.
