Is not just love between 2 lover or the main lead even though is a huge part of this drama. Is a very touching &highly recommended drama because it has great message and values in many of the characters. Love that one can destruct everything or ugly one poison with jealousy yet theres love that protect and give everything not just between couples but the master disciple , master servant , father daughter love are all so beautiful, unconditional thats heart wrenching, not stupid but understandable & touching

Actors actress are superb acting, CGI, OST are good , i cant get over the theme songs.

It also shows character growth the young playful Chief God to the great leader that unites all, Icy Bai Que to the man able to express himself.

It also portray a great great message of power& responsibility. Power come with huge responsibility , everything is fair and will come around no matter how rich, high or low status quo, like Wu huan , Gu jun, Mu guang, Shang Gu , ZaoEr.

SG step up n never deny her responsibility in time of need, she did not blame fate or any1 A never grateful maid end up destroying all she ever had. GJ who stayed true n loyal it might not be agreeable the decision the ML acted alone but still understandable Overall is a beautiful drama, of the best Xanxia in par to great one like 10miles , pillow dream.

It was my third Chinese and fantasy drama, without looking at the trailer or knowing what it was about, I only watched it for Xu Kai an actor who had impressed me in one of his projects (Arsenal Military Academy) from the first moment I was impressed by the scenery and the effects, the acting of the characters, the little jokes, the scenes loaded with a lot of emotion, it is incredible how all the actors can catch you with just their eyes.

I have seen the drama 4 times and I always find interesting details, I wish that time passes to watch it again and enjoy it as if it were the first time, I highly recommend it, I hope you enjoy it without prejudice, bad comments can be made by anyone, all those who criticize haven't seen this drama or they only criticize it 'cause their favorite actor is not here, but if you are that kind of person who looks for art and you don't criticize just to believe you are important, but you want to find a drama that makes you laugh, cry and feel angry, this drama is for you, you will feel it to the bone.

I really enjoyed the series Ancient Love Poetry. The slot story is amazing, the CGI are beautiful, and the actors' acting are very good.

The story made me feel very touched about love story of Bai Jue and Shang Gu. He has secretly loved and protected her for 60,000 years. He just wants her to have a peaceful and happy life even though he has to accept many sacrifices.

The film also showed me Shang Gu's growth journey, from a mischievous, carefree God to a responsible person who knows how to protect the peace of the 3 worlds. Shang Gu's love for Bai Jue is very pure and very deep. Her simple dream is to be able to join Bai Jue every day to practice swords, drinking and fly kites. That love touched me because it was so simple, sweet and painful.

Xukai and Zhou Dongyu had impressive performances. I cried and laughed together with their stories. The actors really worked hard and made an effort to create an excellent work.

I recommend everyone to watch this series, it's really great!

The story is beautifully told and the CGI Comparing to the other cdrama is quite adequate although it lacks a little in some places. You can truly feel every emotion with the character as the writers spend time developing them. But the primary emotion that strikes hard is grief and separation. The common theme in the show revolves around love and sacrifice, which is a beautiful message to convey especially if your protagonists are powerful Gods. Xu Kai charmingly potrays Bai Jue with sincerity and Truth, Zhou Dongyu perfectly captures the playfulness of a young person. Some other Notable performances that must be praised are Liu Xueyi and Jenny Zhang respectively. You will be hooked from the start and end up binge watching it within a day or two.

Give it a try ! It has lots touching love & relationship (not just lovers but father daughter love , master disciple, tribe ppl) Theme is simply love, responsibility and greater mankind. ML and FL are awesome actors, they bring the characters alive even though the FL is not super pretty, their acting , chemistry, ML heartbroken everything brings out so much emotion as it contrast people that will do anything to destroy what they cant get,or simply greed to get what they want for while some will give in everything to protect love & peace side characters also its shining moments.

Is a very emotional roller coaster drama, laugh and cry a good lot. The CGI effects, music matches beautifully. The way it ends is not very satisfying (it has a happy ending , just too short) but otherwise, I will vote it 9.5> it has plenty good values too different background, status qou , rich or poor not as important as one's heart, conscience &choices.
