Horrible in every way possible.. acting was atrocious down right bad.... Bad story line. I felt embarrassed for these people in the movie at times....
I saw Oro Arrowhead with my family in Hickory, NC. It looks like they've changed the title. The movie reminded me of the simple, low budget adventures I used to watch during my 1980's childhood. Nothing spectacular, just fun. Easy to watch, nothing foul or embarrassing, just good family entertainment. Sure, it's not a mega-budget film, but it doesn't claim to be. I think the acting was decent - the lead actors did a great job - and the story was interesting. There's not much more I required on that particular Saturday, and you know what? The kids loved it! Mission accomplished.
Strangely the concept and story line are not too bad. Where it falls down is every where else. The acting is wooden, and the dialogue is awkward. First of all the ex-ranger is some weird idea of a trained professional in which the concept bares no resemblance to anyone with training. The weapons he uses are basically toys, and the skills he portrays are ridiculous. Its obvious there was no firearm safety expert in this production. In one scene he literally puts his sidearm against a friends face. All the firearm use was nothing like using a real weapon. The way weapons are held says it all. The two ex-military talked about weapons in a way no-one who had been trained would. It was funny in a couple of scenes where knives were thrown like they were toys rather then weapons. Military don't throw knives, unless they wish to give the enemy a weapon to use against them. Its just not done. A thrown weapon has to have real impact enough to knock someone down, a leave a lethal injury. A heavy tomahawk could do that, but not a little knife.
Any scene with women was like a cartoon caricature of a sexy girl. His sister, and her friend were in trampy clothes, and overweight, and tried to look sexy lounging around, and just looked trashy. Many of the scenes jumped locations without any lead in.
Don't look for any decent acting in this time waster. No one here has every managed to do well in acting class.

The neighbourhood, in family with bill rahn, indian annecdotes and fairytails or simply loves the appalachian wilderness then you will not find this almost 2 hour action-mystery-drama, consisting of far too much monolouges and thinktankthought sherlock mystery cracking with the help of one native woman that considers white men as the worst of its kind, the white man being the cool ultra american lucky luke that while cleaning up and mustering around his diseased fathers belongings, comes over a treasure map where gold is the isthmus of it all.
Having to fight his way through the wilderness, being bullied by chew tobacco spitting georgian rednecks that forgot the sunfactor lotion while moonshining by the nearest creek, who also knows about the oro legend, makes the race and sets the tone for the movie, written by, produced by, acted by, directed by edited by ...in other words yet another homemade bankrupted filmproject... signed and commited by bill rahn (ran is the norwegian word for robbery...) so consider your time of life left to live, its not worth my time and again, there aint too many flaws, and the music is nice country style, it is just too far streched and the plot is boring, not much indian johnas here thinks the grumpy old man. Not worth a re-view.

I've read every review on this movie. Heck, I helped make this movie. All I'm going to say to all you, if you go to see it, expecting a million dollar budgeted movie, go watch something else. We did what Bill and the others saw in their vision for this movie, the actors worked hard for it, and the crew busted it.
